Senior Tennis Manager
Fitness Club in Broomfield, CO is looking for a full-time Senior Tennis Manager.

Position Overview:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and supervision of the Tennis Department. Ensure Tennis Pros achieve or exceed monthly revenue goal. Maintain the Tennis Department business plan and budget. Coach Tennis Pros to initiate, develop, and maintain personalized relationships with Members. Provide excellent tennis instruction and customer service to encourage repeat business.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Member Experience Management
1. Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement and a positive NPS.
2. Monitor, demonstrate, and instruct students on proper technique and strategies to improve their overall tennis game
3. Ensure students understand tennis rules, scoring procedures, safety rules and tennis etiquette
4. Ensure all tennis facilities and equipment are clean, organized and in good working condition
5. Quickly and efficiently respond to member questions, comments, and concerns

Sales & Promotion
1. Direct promotional effort aimed at involving current members with programs, tournaments and special events, fully utilizing available marketing support and tools.
2. Actively participate in the system wide sales effort with Membership Advisors and Member Activities, ensuring tennis is an integral component of the brand
3. Direct a comprehensive effort aimed at integrating new members into the tennis program.
4. Identify inactive tennis players and re-engage them in appropriate programs.
5. Actively develop a positive image for Club Tennis in the community through involvement with schools, community education programs, charities and fund raisers.
6. Ensure Tennis Pros and Staff are promoting and selling Tennis programs, lessons, court time, equipment, etc. and encouraging repeat business
7. Work closely with other business units to raise awareness about Tennis and look for ways to partner with them in improving the member experience
8. Promote all programs, products, and services

Financial & Budgetary
Responsible for achieving or exceeding tennis department monthly and annual revenue and EBIDTA goals
Maintain a detailed accounting of financial results and participate in monthly financial meetings with General Manager and National Tennis Director.
Actively manage expenses of the Tennis department, including tennis pros, desk labor, ops labor and supplies, while reducing or eliminating non-essential expenses

Managerial & Supervisory
Monitor Tennis Pros daily, weekly and monthly revenue and lesson totals to ensure they achieve or exceed goal
Create weekly Pro Shop and/or tennis desk schedule and assign Tennis Pros to classes and lessons
Coordinate court scheduling, billing and program registration
Train and develop staff through quality orientations, direction, and feedback
Assess individual performance, provide feedback, and provide employee recognition
Coach and counsel Tennis Pros
Assist in recruiting and interviewing for the tennis department
Make hiring, promotion, disciplinary and termination recommendations to the General Manager
Complete tennis department payroll and new hire paperwork
Facilitate tennis department meetings
Attend Manager and “all club” meetings

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
· High School diploma or GED
· College degree in Sport and Recreation or related field preferred

Experience:
· Ten years experience teaching tennis lessons

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
· USPTA/PTR certification
· USTA Sport Science or High Performance
· CPR/AED certification received within 30 days of hire

Excellent communication skills

Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner
Comfortable working with all age groups

Thorough knowledge of the game of tennis
Effective teaching styles and techniques
