Head Coach, Women’s Tennis
University in Tucson, AZ is looking for a full-time Head Coach of Women’s Tennis.

Position Overview:
This is a full time head coaching position, overseeing the women’s tennis program at the University. The primary function of the head coaching position is to direct the women’s tennis program within the rules and regulations of the Board of Regents, the Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing staff of the women’s tennis program which includes assistant coach, support staff, and student-athletes; head coach is responsible for managing personnel, overseeing scheduling, overseeing player development, and academic progress of student-athletes
• Responsible for facilitating the academic and athletic development of every women’s tennis student-athlete
• Coordinate the recruitment of prospective student-athletes within the guidelines of the Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA
• Coordinate, track, and be financially responsible for the program budget
• Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes
• Assist with workout scheduling
• Coordinate competition schedules following Pac-12 and NCAA guidelines
• Coordinate recruiting activities for women’s tennis including: Travel to competitions and conduct home visits with prospective student-athletes; Monitor prospective recruits and incoming correspondence
• Coordinate team responsibilities with regards to all support groups within athletic department
• Educate new coaches/staff members on proper techniques and desired philosophies of the athletic department and the women’s tennis program
• Constant knowledge regarding current rules, training techniques, and political climate of NCAA women’s tennis
• Follow all NCAA and Pac-12 guidelines
• Additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or designee
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year institution
• Three years of Coaching experience at collegiate level
• Three years of Coaching experience as a tennis teaching professional
• A commitment to responsibly adhering to all rules and regulations of the University, the Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA
• Must possess strong computer skills, as well as well-developed communication and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree
• Three years coaching experience at an NCAA Division I level program
