Director of Tennis and Activities

Position Overview:
Do you have a passion for Tennis and other recreational sports? Do you thrive in building programs and business relationships with customers and upcoming talent? Our premiere and award-winning golf course and hospitality destination is seeking a Director of Tennis & Activities to fulfill a leadership position for the recreational department. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a tennis program for all ages, as well as overseeing the fieldhouse space, which consists of 6 indoor hard courts, a driving range, golf simulator and both volleyball and cornhole bag leagues.

What You’ll Do
• Creates, directs and promotes various leagues, clinics, tournaments, camps and special events to attract and maintain the interest of guests. Manages setup, operation and clean-up of fieldhouse activities/programs and the organization, inventory and storing of relevant supplies and equipment.
• Develops, organizes and implements a tennis program for all ages and skill levels. Develops short and long-range tennis program objectives, and measures operational results against objectives, taking corrective action as needed.
• Develops and maintains the strategic vision, policies and procedures for various fieldhouse and recreational programs to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Oversees and conducts, as necessary, instruction of beginning through advanced tennis lessons (private and group) for all levels of players.
• Collaborates with Corporate Marketing Department to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns to attract participation at various events.
• Responsible for scheduling necessary staff, stocking proper equipment and ensuring the reservation system is up to date on all fieldhouse activities, descriptions and prices.
What it Takes

• Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years of related work experience.
• Certified USTA Professional or PTR certified.
• Experience as a tennis instructor or tennis program director for a minimum of two seasons/years.
• Ability to effectively teach tennis to all age groups.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving, creative and organization skills.
• Ability to work nights, on weekends and holidays.
