Tennis Operations Manager / Assistant Tennis Pro
Country Club in Sioux Falls, SD is looking for a Tennis Operations Manager / Assistant Tennis Pro.

Position Overview:
The Operations Manager/Assistant Tennis Pro position at the Country Club is an intro/intermediate career position. This person reports to the Head Tennis Professional/Tennis Director. The OM/ATP has facility and staffing responsibilities and assists in the planning, management and teaching of the tennis programs. This job requires the Assistant to supervise the part-time desk staff, assist with the daily operations of the tennis facility, and coordinate the billing, scheduling, and record-keeping for the pro shop, leagues, and instruction program. Currently the responsibilities are about 75% off court administration and 25% on court teaching with the potential for more on court hours.


• Schedule and supervise the part-time desk staff and cover shifts as needed.
• Oversee member billing for all tennis activities and programs.
• Assist in general facility maintenance and housekeeping.
• Schedule, supervise and run seasonal leagues
• Be a custodian of all records such as time keeping, court reservations, league schedules.
• Enforce all the club’s rules and regulations for the tennis facility and programs.
• Assist with the marketing and promotion of the tennis program and seek member satisfaction feedback.
• Maintain court usage records.
• Assist the Head Tennis Professional with the operation of the pro shop.
• Tennis committee member and compiling pertinent information for committee reporting.
• Provide excellent membership service.
• Act as an ambassador for The Club in the community.

2) Court sheets
a) Prepare for the season with day and date, and with color-coded permanent leagues and lessons
b) Make sure all players names appear with leagues, lessons or random play
c) Attempt to maintain adjacent blocks of time for best use of court time (few empty half hour timeframes)
d) Calculate court usage and record for the Tennis Committee
3) Staff scheduling
a) Request staff to submit schedule requirements by the 23rd of each month
b) Prepare calendar for the month
c) Email finalized calendar schedule to staff
4) Staff supervision
a) Monitor activities of staff
i) Be involved in hiring and training process
ii) Observe punctuality, time clock activities
iii) Observe good grooming
iv) Observe good disposition
v) Ensure staff is able to complete required tasks
vi) Be aware of staff subs
5) Billing for pro shop and lessons
a) Maintain book of pro shop billing information
i) Ensure proper date, name, member number, item, stock number and cost are registered
6) Special events
a) Plan events with Tennis Director
b) Schedule event on court sheets and help publicize
c) Take care of registration for event and post event analysis
7) Court and facility maintenance
a) Make periodic building tours to ensure cleanliness, good repair and adequate supplies
b) Check courts each morning for adequate supplies as well as cleanliness
c) Check both locker rooms each morning for adequate supplies and cleanliness
d) Report any maintenance and repair issues to Maintenance Staff
8) Guest fees
a) Be sure any guests are noted in the proper section of the Black Book and billed correctly.
b) Remind members who invite the same guests multiple times per month about the Club Policy
