10 & Under Tennis Professional: Red Ball Lead Coach
Tennis Center in Seattle, Washington is looking for a 10 & Under Tennis Professional: Red Ball Lead Coach.

Position Overview:
With the support of the Junior Tennis Director, the Red Ball Lead Coach (RBLC) will primarily focus on youth players between the ages of 3 to 8 years of age in programs at Tennis Center by: 1) creating a culture of positive reinforcement, fun and progressive tennis education; 2) inspiring and educating supporting Red Ball coaching staff; and 3) maintaining clear, obtainable goals for players to progress through a development pathway.

The RBLC will be solely responsible for the the Red Ball program both on and off the court and will provide assistance to the Orange Ball Lead Coach to ensure pathways and competencies are being achieved and are transparent to players and parents.

The general roles and responsibilities of the Red Ball Lead Coach include, but are not limited to, the following:
• To create, develop, and execute quality programming options for Red Ball players.
• To coach group and private lessons for Red and Orange Ball players, as well as educate and inspire junior coaching staff.
• To coach group and private lessons in other programs such as Yellow Ball and Adults.
• To use Net Generation curriculum and programming as well as other well-known program material to integrate at Tennis Center
• To prepare and communicate tennis curriculum and lesson plans effectively and efficiently to all stakeholders and coaches.
• To create an attractive reputation of programming that brings in a consistent pipeline of new youth players to tennis.
• To be a passionate and inspirational ambassador and advocate for tennis with the ability to require the same from each member of the tennis staff.
• To ensure the courts and the playing environment meet high standards of safety and cleanliness.

• Must be ready to put in hard work both on and off the court.
• Must be an ambitious and driven coach that wants to meet and exceed goals.
• Must want your team and its programs to be successful and the best.
• Must be able to demonstrate sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism.
• Must have ability to communicate across various personality types.
• Must be able to listen as well as provide positive/constructive feedback to staff and players.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule with on-court coaching averaging 20-30 hours per week and off-court averaging 5-10 hours per week.
• Must be a contributing part of Tennis Center’s management team.
• Must be ready to jump in when needed in any role including administration at the Front Desk.
• Must be able to serve as the program manager on duty when required.
• Must abide by all club rules and lead by example.
• Must set an example in member service to all staff and members.
• Must have an extremely positive attitude!

Desired Education/Experience/Qualifications:
• Must possess over 3-5 years of coaching experience is required, with 2+ years as a program manager or lead coaching designation preferred.
• Must be a player that can play at a NTRP 3.5 at a minimum; 4.0+ preferred.
• Experience with running tournament play preferred but not required.
• Instructor or professional level of tennis certification preferred but not required; USPTA and/or PTR certification or similar.
• Positive, engaging, honest, respectful, dedicated, and caring, with a sincere desire to provide a high level of personalized service. All the things you would expect in a successful professional.
• College degree strongly preferred, but not required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. High professional skills.
