Tennis Service Coordinator
Club in Charlottesville, Virginia is looking for a Tennis Service Coordinator.

Position Overview:
The Tennis Service Coordinator is responsible court maintenance, helping members with courts, working with kids, and helping with overall service of the tennis members and facility.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
• Helps supervise all tennis play, as directed by the Director of Tennis.
• Helps with junior development and 10 and under tennis.
• Coordinates junior clinics and matches.
• Helps the Director with all club events, tournaments, and USTA matches.
• Helps with court maintenance, including but not limited to: brushing and lining courts, cleaning tennie-two steps, blowing sidewalks, cleaning tables and chairs, emptying trash, and replacing and replenishing water.
• Represents Club in a professional manner during all away junior matches.
• Promotes the safety and security of all participants at all times.
• Maintains a notable visual presence during your shifts.
• When necessary, communicates program policies and expectations members and/or guests to ensure a high level of safety and service at all times.
• Works directly with the team to efficiently maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the facility while providing outstanding customer service to all children and parents.
• Helps train new staff when requested.
• Arrives to work in a timely manner with enough time to prepare for your scheduled shift and/or lessons.
• Greets members and guests as they arrive and leave the program.

Responsibilities:
• Performs the Essential Functions and Responsibilities as described (other duties may be assigned).
• Remains competent in administering Club’s Emergency Action Plan and is alert and prepared for any emergency.
• If unable to work, proactively seeks substitutes for shifts and immediately informs supervisor of the substitution.
• Wears proper uniform at all times while at work and always presents the brand and standard anytime and anywhere the uniform is worn.
• Attends departmental meetings and any other meetings as requested.
• If not already certified, attends CPR and First Aid training provided by the Club and maintains current CPR/FA certification for the duration of employment.
• Attends New Hire Launch within 30 days of employment.
• Checks email daily.
• Ensures that time worked does not exceed 40 hours during the pay week (Sunday-Saturday); any overtime worked must be pre-approved by the supervisor.
• Reads, signs, and abides by the policies included in the Team Member Handbook.
• Parks in team member designated areas.
• Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; helps whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep club neat and clean.
• Helps with Service Day.
• Helps with Club programs, special events, or activities outside department.
• When supervisor or team members call or email, promptly returns contact.
• Exhibits a positive attitude at all times and upholds Club’s values of teamwork, customer service, and engagement.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience teaching tennis lessons preferred.
• Experience with tennis youth programming and/or summer camp programs highly desired.
• Must be available to work June-August.
• Able to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing and able to work additional hours based on the needs of the program.
• Must have a genuine interest in working with and interacting with children and adults of all skill levels.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, stretch, climb, and move for duration of shift.
• Must be able to fully participate in all tennis activities (programs and/or lessons).
• Must be able to work in warm and humid outdoor conditions.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus.
• Able to motivate and inspire participants while teaching a safe and effective class.
• Must enjoy working in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety and customer service oriented.
• Highly dependable and prompt.
