Tennis Player Development Coordinator
Tennis Club in Steamboat Springs, Colorado is looking for a Tennis Player Development Coordinator.

Position Overview:
The Player Development Coordinator will assist with the growth and organization of our youth and adult customers though a variety of programs such as socials, drills, ROGY and High Performance Tennis. Work directly with the Director of Operations and the marketing team. Stay abreast of latest teaching techniques and tournament software. The hours per week will vary. Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience. As an integral part of our tennis team, the High Performance Coordinator will inspire members through movement and personal attention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide tennis lessons from beginner to competitive juniors and adults.
• Increase player participation by actively promoting center programs, lessons and events.
• Evaluate student progress and teach tennis with best practices and techniques.
• Motivate students by providing encouragement and positive feedback.
• Provide a remarkable member experience by caring and connecting with students.
• Plan and run tournaments.
• Keep marketing team informed of all programs.
• Ability to recommend string and string racquets or willingness to learn.
• Consistently express enthusiasm for the sport of tennis.

Qualifications:
• A demonstrated results orientated, excellence driven leadership style as shown by setting and achieving challenging program objectives.
• Exceptional player/coach/parent management skills.
• Exceptional tennis technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• The ability to effectively manage player, parent and personal coach issues and conflict resolution.
• The ability to effectively influence and cooperate with internal and external partners (club coaches, parents, players and provincial/national staff).
• Willingness to travel to support programs.
• University degree or equivalent is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 3 years high performance coaching experience needed.

Required Education, Certifications and Experience:
USPTA/PTR certification.
CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire).
