Tennis Instructor
Sports Club in Wellesley, Massachusetts is looking for a Tennis Instructor.

Position Overview:
Responsibilities:
The Tennis Instructor provides individual and group tennis lessons and keeps customer service at its highest level for all members and guests.
• Continuously modeling and promoting the Club and our family of brands mission, mission statement, and values with pride and integrity.
• Providing a legendary member experience by consistently executing the Five Agreements.
• Reviewing and adhering to all Club and our family of brands documents including but not limited to policies and procedures, employee handbook, state supplement, codes of conduct, etc.
• Understanding and promoting the Club and our family of brands culture.
• Leading by example, maintaining a positive attitude and fun atmosphere while overseeing students.
• Instructing both private and group tennis lessons.
• Observing and analyzing competitive matches.
• Responding to member inquiries in a timely manner.
• Keeping accurate records and schedules.
• Assisting with the maintenance of the tennis facility and court.
• Assisting the Tennis Manager on ways to optimize tennis revenue and profitability.
• Collaborating with other Tennis Instructors/Professionals to continue education regularly.
• Certification upkeep and exploring new certifications each year.
• Embracing the development of student’s goals.
• Sharing knowledge amongst other tennis instructors.
• Understanding the local community needs.
• Striving to beat company and personal revenue goals.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:
• An overall positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• At least 2 years teaching tennis skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch reach for an extended period of time.
• Ability to proficiently use our POS and membership system, timekeeping any other computer programs required to meet the business needs of the customer and Club and our family of brands.
• Ability to bend at the waist and perform repetitive foot and hand actions.
• Ability to play with high level players for extended periods of time.
• Holds at least a 4.5 USTA rating.
• Have the ability to demonstrate proper tennis technique in all major strokes (Forehand/Backhand Groundstrokes, Forehand/Backhand Volleys, Serve, Overhead, and included footwork for each stroke and gameplay).
• Know USTA tennis single and doubles rules.
• Understand the appropriate tennis etiquette and court conduct.
• Physical demands include ability to lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations, walk through all areas of the club, climbing stairs (where applicable), and bending and lifting (e.g. picking up towels, restacking weights, moving equipment as needed). The company reserves the right to change them as business needs require and that jobs may require other tasks as assigned to the employee by the company.
