Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach
University in Madison, Wisconsin is looking for a full-time Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach.

Position Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, assist with the responsibilities of a Division I Women’s Tennis program in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include:

• Teaching and instructing student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of Division I Collegiate Tennis.
• Provide guidance, motivation and leadership development to all student-athletes.
• Travel to away competitions throughout the competitive collegiate season.
• Organization of data and analytics.
• Equipment management.
• Execute national and international recruiting.
• Additional areas of responsibility may include: planning and conducting team practices, daily individual skill instruction, departmental collaboration, performance of administrative, academic and public relations duties, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Education:
Required
Bachelor’s Degree

Qualifications:

• Elite collegiate or professional playing experience preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of Women’s Tennis collegiate and or professional coaching experience is preferred.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following:

• Ability to work cooperatively and build strong working relationships with diverse groups and administrators, faculty, staff and students.
• Ability to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions.
• Ability to develop student-athletes’ skills to maximize performance.
• Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills.
• Administratively self-sufficient. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, web applications, and basic video filming and editing.
• Work well independently and in teams.
• Ability to be flexible in accepting new responsibilities.
• Ability to foster team competitive success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student-athletes;
• Excellent communication skills to work with student-athletes, other coaches, support staff and administrators;
• Knowledge of and experience with NCAA and Big Ten rules.
• Four (4) years of collegiate coaching experience required to be considered for the Associate Head Coach Business Title.
