Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach
College in Rochester, New York is looking for an Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach.

Position Overview:
Assist the Head Coach in the planning, organization and administration of the Men’s & Women’s Tennis program.

Job Responsibilities:
Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines, policies, and rules.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes.
• Maintain positive constructive working relationships with student-athletes, athletics department coaches and staff, and all members of the College community.
• At all times promote the Tennis program in a positive way.
• Recruiting (20%)
o Front Rush software usage to submit and update recruit information.
o Corresponding via mailings, phone calls, text messaging and emails.
o Scheduling and setting up recruit visits.
o Attending off campus recruiting events.
o Working with admissions office to recruit student athletes.
• Tennis Team Coaching & Education (60%)
o Practice planning and coaching.
o Individual & small group coaching sessions.
o Oversee academic, moral, ethical and athletic development of the student-athletes – personal & team meetings.
o Match preparation team meetings.
o Match day meetings, coaching, post-match debrief.
o Team meetings.
o Participation in community service events.
• Tennis Team Administration (20%)
o Supervise team during away contests.
o Participate in fund-raising activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is desired, Master’s degree preferred. Intercollegiate playing experience desired. Collegiate coaching experience preferred.

Competencies/Skills: Ability to demonstrate tennis techniques and related skills, interpersonal skills between students, staff, alumni and friends of the college.
