Assistant Tennis Coach
University in Wilmore, Kentucky is looking for an Assistant Tennis Coach.

Position Overview:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
Instructing student athletes in the sport of Tennis including teaching theory, techniques, and strategies of the sport.
Instructing student athletes in preparing their minds and bodies for optimum performance of the sport including personal nutrition, physical fitness and overall physical, mental and spiritual health.
Support and assist with the general administrative duties of the head coach related to the team functioning, including:
Travel itinerary preparation
Statistics reports
Class excuses for team travel
Study Hall Program for athletes
Team meal plan implementation
Provide organizational support for Tennis program including:
Attendance at practices (in season and out of season)
Attendance at games – including away games and road trips
Attendance at team meetings (in season and out of season)
Assist in organizing equipment, paperwork, and food for training camp and road trips
Counsel to head coach concerning practice sessions and game strategy

Job Skills and Specifications:
Exhibit and articulate evidence of current, practical knowledge of the sport of Tennis.
Exhibit and articulate evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Ability to become knowledgeable of, support and uphold the philosophy of both Asbury University and the Athletic Department.
Exhibit professionalism at all times. This applies to conduct, appearance, and fulfillment of job responsibilities. Be an example in word and action.
Demonstrate concern with the total development and welfare of each student athlete-not just athletic development, but spiritual, educational, moral and social development as well.

Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
1-3 years minimum tennis coaching experience (head or assistant).
A committed and dynamic Christian faith is vital along with the ability to support the University’s theological position, lifestyle standards and mission.
