Tennis Professional
Fitness Center in Aurora, Illinois is looking for a full-time Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for the instruction of adult and youth lessons. To increase membership & public awareness of the Fitness Center.

Essential Functions and Responsibility:
To provide members with high quality professional instruction that focuses on learning, safety and enjoyment.
Meet with Manager of Tennis to review objectives and progress reports for all tennis leagues, string trends and administrative programs, financial performance, and member satisfaction.
Responsible for conducting special events and tournaments as needed.
Develop and maintain allied industry associations plan for growth programs.
Work with community groups to develop, promote, maintain and develop the growth of tennis.
Help raise community and public awareness of all Fitness Center programs.
Ensure court appearance and surroundings areas are presentable.
Maintain monthly private lesson goals.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to all Fitness Center policies and procedures including written manuals, memos and verbal instruction.

The ideal candidate must be industry certified, safely approved, and have a strong base level working with all phases of tennis operations for this premiere multi-purpose facility.

Knowledge and Skills:
Maintain a least one national recognized certification in the tennis industry.
Complete Safe Play education modules with Coach Youth Tennis Curriculum within two weeks of employment.
Maintain skill level, technical knowledge, and coaching ability necessary to apply kinesiology, physiology, biomechanics and motivation in teaching and learning for all phases of youth and adult programming.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and marketing skills in developing a successful program that will grow and expand appropriately.

Fiscal Responsibilities:
Accountable for department revenue.

Working Conditions and Scheduling:
Hours worked may be morning and evening hours including possible weekend hours.
