Head Tennis Professional
Club in Johns Island, South Carolina is looking for a full-time Head Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
The Head Racquets Professional is responsible for planning and implementing lesson and clinic programs for members and guests of Racquet Club.

Essential Job Functions:
• Lead by example and promote the Club Core Values, Characteristics, Employee Constitution and Decision Making.
• Assist the Director of Racquet Sports in coordinating all court activities, tournaments, special events, and facility usage.
• Assist the Director of Racquet Sports with the design of lessons, clinics, and programs that cater to the demographics of Racquet Club.
• Provide on court instruction of private and group tennis and pickleball lessons for all ages and levels.
• Create, develop, implement and evaluate the success of tennis and pickleball programs.
• Keep accurate records and descriptions of all programs.
• Promote and actively work to increase participation in tennis and pickleball program.
• Create an exciting, fun, safe, inclusive environment for members and guests.
• Assist with organizing play, lesson schedules, tournaments, interclub and social events.
• Assess player skill levels and progress.
• Plan junior camps as needed.
• Greet members and guests and assist with introducing and selling tennis programs, clinics, tournaments and other special events as well as rates and packages.
• Know current merchandise, assist with hard goods product selection and actively promote sales of merchandise to members and guests.
• Assist with routine court maintenance as needed.
• Assist Pro Shop Manager with daily operations including but not limited to covering the front desk and shop hours as needed.
• Attend department meetings.
• Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Racquet Sports.

Requirements:
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma. College degree preferred.

Experience: Proficient playing and teaching skills required. Three years of experience as a full-time racquets professional or two years of college/ATP/WTA experience. USPTA/PRT and PPR certification preferred. 4.5/5/0 USTA rating.

Skills: Strong communication skills, outgoing, personable, professional, reliable and knowledgeable in all aspects of tennis and pickleball.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages Assistant Professionals

Competitive wages and benefits include four weeks of paid time off within the first year of employment. As Head Pro you will earn $19 per hour plus 85% commission on lessons. Typically, the Head Pro earns on average $90,000 per year.
