Tennis Professional
Resort in Isle of Palms, South Carolina is looking for a Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
Weekend or on-call position.

In search of high energy professional to manage Red to Green ball junior tennis academy and assist with the intermediate and advanced junior academy. Individuals must understand the culture and direction of the program and work within parameters to ensure players are having fun, improving, and moving through the developmental process of the program.

Individuals must be coachable, capable of working with and leading a team and be able to run clinics independently. Requirements are to understand the current clinic structure and utilize personality and knowledge to inspire players and add value to the program. Position will assist with student recruitment and retention, staff hiring and training, and lesson planning.

Prior experience coaching Red to Green ball junior development is required. Will consider less experienced coaches who are dependable, coachable, and motivated to add value and reach program goals. Required hours are approximately 3:30 – 6:30 Monday through Friday, with the potential for Saturday as the program builds. Some weekends may include tournament travel and coaching. This is a long–term position however, short-term coaches will be considered for other positions.

The position has the option to help with adult programming and development, private/small group lessons, and maintenance. Pay structure is dependent on availability, experience, and value-added.

Qualifications
Experience & Education:
• Must have knowledge of tennis and enthusiasm for the game of tennis.
• At least one year Tennis instruction experience in a similar setting preferred but not necessary as long as the individual has a strong playing background.
• The individual should have good communication skills and be energetic while performing teaching requirements.
• Experience in resort tennis is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year previous experience in a similar setting preferred.

• Must be CPR certified.
• Must have a strong passion for assisting guests in attaining their fitness and wellness goals.

• Must have strong knowledge of fitness industry.
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
• Must be highly detailed orientated.
• Must have excellent computer skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have excellent listening skills.
• Must possesses excellent communication skills.
• Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.
• Must always ensure a teamwork environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and Colleagues.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
