Head Tennis Professional
Club in Tiburon, California is looking for a Head Tennis Professional.

Job Purpose:
The Head Tennis Pro position will be primarily responsible for teaching lessons, coordinating and planning ladies’ league clinics, mixers, special events, and working with Tennis Director (TD) to design yellow ball & above junior programming, coordinating social tennis events, and working with TD to develop and execute club tournaments for all levels.

Additional responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to our members and Club co-workers by greeting everyone with warmth exhibiting pride in Club.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Professional and courteous service.
Manage and direct weekly women’s league team clinics.
Plan, promote and organize monthly social events for all levels (men and women).
Manage the men’s and women’s tennis ladders.
Assist with coordination and development of club tournaments.
Work with Tennis Director to introduce and organize new programming.
Attends Tennis Committee meetings.
Assist Tennis Director with Tiburon Challenger (professional men’s tournament).
Teach private, private group lessons and clinics.
Candidates will clock in and out according to California State Laws/Federal Law.
Candidate will perform a combination of on court teaching and administrative duties.

Qualifications:
Experience, Competencies and Education
College degree preferred.
15 years tennis teaching industry experience.
3 years private tennis club experience.
USPTA or PTR Certified.
USTA 5.0 level player or above preferred.
Ability to work independently and able to handle multiple priorities/projects at once.
Must be punctual, reliable, and conscientious.
Competent computer skills on MS Office, Outlook, Club Essentials, Google Sheets & Docs.

Language Skills:
Have good written and verbal skills for effective communication.
Ability to read, write business correspondences.

Hours:
Varying/flexible schedule, but must be available for some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ideally working 30 hours on court and 10 hours off court doing administrative duties.

Compensation:
Administrative Duties: Hourly rate for department planning $35 or higher based on experience.

Clinics: Hourly rate for adult, junior, and special events $50 or higher based on experience.

Lesson Percentage: 60% or higher based on experience.

Relocation Support Available:
Return of investment based on timeline of employment
100% if employed for less than 3 months
75% if employed for 3 months but less than 6 months
50% if employed for 6 months but less than 9 months
25% if employed for 9 months but less than 12 months
0% if employed for 12 months or more
