Head Women’s Tennis Coach
University in Daytona Beach, Florida is looking for a full-time Head Women’s Tennis Coach.

Position Overview:
The Athletics Department is seeking a Head Women’s Tennis Coach to join their growing team! This individual will be responsible for all aspects of directing the women’s tennis program, such as designing and implementing a strategy to recruit qualified student-athletes, designing practice plans and conducting practice sessions, and preparing strategies for competition. The Head Women’s Tennis Coach will provide support for the academic progress of student-athletes and develop and maintain effective interactions with students and faculty/staff. This person must comply with all NCAA, Sunshine State Conference and University rules and regulations, and provide leadership in community service and fundraising events for the program.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:
• Actively recruit qualified student-athletes who have an interest in one of the University’s academic programs.
• Provide fundamental and advanced instruction of women’s tennis techniques and philosophy to student-athletes.
• Administer all facets of the women’s tennis program.
• Promote the women’s tennis program and pursue opportunities to fundraise resources outside of the University budget.
• Develop relationships within the University to promote the women’s tennis program and the student-athlete concept; develop relationships within the community to promote the women’s tennis program; conduct activities (workshops, summer camps, clinics, etc.) to promote the women’s tennis program; work with the Sports Information staff to help generate ideas for media feature stories. Actively support and promote the NCAA’s Life in the Balance strategic positioning platform, embracing the six ideals of learning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship, passion, and service.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Professional Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-3 years collegiate coaching experience.

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
• Requires previous participation in and expert knowledge of sport specialty.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes and the capability to teach sport-appropriate skills and strategy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational ability required.
• Public relations and fundraising skills.
