Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach
University in Fredericksburg, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach.

Position Overview:
The University , an NCAA Division III institution located in historic and vibrant Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking a part time assistant coach. Graduate tuition remission may be possible after one year of employment. This position will be required to assist the head tennis coach with practice and game preparation including, but not limited to, coaching, recruiting, academics, fundraising, and the off-season programs. In addition, this position will be responsible for administrative duties at the University Tennis Center as well as provide tennis instruction for the university sponsored tennis clinics during the academic year.

Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications to successfully perform their work •Ability to recruit, coach and teach highly talented student-athletes.
•Ability to adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the university, the Coast to Coast Conference and the NCAA.
•Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information for the determination of procedures, solutions, and other outcomes.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
•Ability to communicate effectively – orally, by phone, in person, and in writing.
•Ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
•Ability to represent the department and University in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.

Preferred KSA’s/Competencies/Qualifications to successfully perform the work •An expressed interest in collegiate coaching.
•Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment as needed.
•Ability to attend meetings and other professional development opportunities at or away from University.
•Knowledge of management methods and ability to provide administrative guidance within area of responsibility and provide direct training and supervision as needed.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience.
Required Experience: Prior coaching experience or participation on a collegiate team .
Preferred Experience:
• Previous experience in applying budgeting and fiscal planning techniques within financial constraints.
• Experience with student leadership.
• Have past experience with customer service and/or general operations of facility management.
