Club in Morganville, New Jersey is looking for a Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
Key Requirements:

• Candidate must present a short video of conducting a lesson.
• Additional video of where a candidate is hitting is preferred but not a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group tennis lessons for players of varying ages and abilities. Teach fundamental techniques, strategies, and tactics to help players improve their game.
• Provide on-court coaching during practice sessions and matches. Analyze players’ strengths and weaknesses, offer feedback, and create personalized training plans to address specific areas of improvement.
• Focus on developing players’ technical skills, including stroke mechanics (forehand, backhand, serve, volley, etc.), footwork, and court positioning.
• Incorporate physical conditioning and fitness training into the coaching regimen to improve players’ endurance, strength, agility, and flexibility.
• Help players develop mental resilience, focus, and concentration during matches. Teach strategies to handle pressure and stay composed during competitive play.
• Assist competitive players in preparing for tournaments by planning match strategies, conducting practice matches, and providing guidance on pre-match routines.
• Recommend appropriate tennis equipment, including racquets, strings, grips, and other gear that suits players’ playing styles and skill levels.
• Ensure players adhere to safety guidelines and demonstrate good sportsmanship and etiquette during practice sessions and matches.
• Collaborate with management to organize and run tennis clinics, camps, tournaments, social events, and other promotional activities to engage the community and attract new players.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Extensive experience and expertise in tennis at a mid to high level may include college or professional-level play.
• Certification from recognized tennis coaching organizations, such as USPTA and PTR, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with players, parents, and facility staff.
• Patience and enthusiasm to motivate and encourage players to achieve their full potential.
• Knowledge of the latest teaching techniques, training methodologies, and advancements in tennis.
• Ability to tailor instruction to suit the needs of players with varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.
• Physical fitness and stamina to demonstrate techniques and actively participate in on-court training sessions.
• Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate players’ schedules and facility operations.
