Director of Tennis
Club in Gulfport, Mississippi is looking for a Director of Tennis.

Position Overview:
The Director of Racquets is a full-time position and will oversee and manage the entire tennis and future pickleball operations at BBTC.

The Director of Racquets will be responsible to the Bayou Bluff Tennis Club (BBTC) Board of Directors and General Manager and will oversee and implement a variety of instructional programs for all age and ability levels and an active annual calendar of events that will include club and USTA tournaments,
mixers/social events, and creative tennis programs for the BBTC membership.

The Director of Racquets will possess the following traits and characteristics:
• Certified with either the USPTA or PTR
• Provide strong and efficient leadership and accountability for the racquets department
• Maintain a strong on court presence
• Market and promote all current instructional and social/competitive racquet programs and design, plan, and implement new and improved ones.
• Provide accurate billing for all lessons and event participants
• Monitor court utilization
• Manage, train, and develop a professional teaching staff
• Possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and provide frequent communication with the BBTC membership
• Maintain the tennis courts toward a safe, working, and clean environment
• Possess an ethical and driven work ethic
• Service oriented, detail oriented, and action oriented
• Playing ability of NTRP 4.5+
• Outgoing, enthusiastic, and friendly personality
• Bachelor’s Degree. (Candidates who do not meet this criterion but have demonstrable success and extensive, specific experience in a similar club environment will be considered).
• Has a background of implementing ROGY programs and comprehensive junior development program
• Knowledgeable with the formation and operation of league tennis
• Must be motivated to ensure BBTC is the #1 tennis club on the Gulf Coast
• Knowledgeable with clay court maintenance and conditioning
• Provide excellent customer service to BBTC members and their guests
• Ability to work flexible hours that will include some weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in warm and humid outdoor conditions
• Govern and enforce all BBTC by-laws, guidelines, and policies
• Three years and/or five seasons of teaching experience verified through previous employment
• Self-motivated and self-actualized to continually grow and improve both personally and for BBTC as a whole
