Position Overview:
High-Performance Tennis Professional at Tier 1 Performance PNW, Woodinville Sports Club

Tier 1 Performance PNW at Woodinville Sports Club is seeking a dynamic full-time Performance Tennis Professional to join our exceptional team. Tier 1 PNW, co-founded and managed by top industry professionals, is expanding and requires an assistant to take on a full-time role in developing our athletes and programs. With the recent launch of our second branch and our partnership with one of the premier tennis facilities in Woodinville, Washington, located just 15 minutes from Seattle, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a nationally recognized program.

Role Overview:

As the High-Performance Tennis Professional, you will collaborate closely with the Director of High Performance to grow and enhance the program. Your responsibilities will encompass working with various parts of the program, from top 12U players to nationally ranked older athletes. Additionally, you will be heavily involved in our developmental groups and adult programs, reflecting the following allocation of your time:

50% Developmental Groups: Work with younger and beginner players, building their skills and guiding them towards advanced levels.
25% Adult Programs: Engage with adult groups and teams, ensuring a high level of training and enjoyment.
25% Private Lessons & Tier 1 Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one coaching to players and contribute to the high-performance program.

Position Responsibilities:

Coaching & Training: Design and implement training programs for all student-athletes, tailored to their skill level and development needs.
Skill Assessment: Evaluate each athlete’s skill development, working with school staff and performance coaches for comprehensive growth.
Psychological Preparation: Assist in preparing student-athletes mentally for competition, both pre-match and post-match.
Motivation: Develop and deliver a motivational approach to practice and matches.
Tennis Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of tennis strategy, decision-making, and meeting objectives.
Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and educator, interacting with student-athletes to foster their love of the sport.
Parent Partnership: Collaborate with parents/guardians on their child’s development.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with student-athletes and their families.
Safety: Ensure a safe environment for all participants.
College Placement: Assist in the college placement process for student-athletes.
Recruiting: Participate in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
Travel: Attend tournaments and events as required.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, in alignment with company policies and ethics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience coaching and/or playing tennis at a professional or collegiate level.
USPTA or PTR teaching certification preferred.
Proven experience in working with high-level juniors and the ability to develop players from beginner to advanced levels.
Experience with 10 & under junior tennis and adult tennis programs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with people of all ages and skill levels.
Bilingual skills, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license are a plus.
Compensation:

The total compensation package will be approximately $100,000, dependent on experience.
