Racquet Sports Professional
Club in Rochester, New York is looking for a full-time Racquet Sports Professional.

The Tennis Club of Rochester (“TCR”) is an equity member owned club dedicated to providing premier facilities, well organized activities, numerous program offerings for tennis, paddle tennis, and pickleball instruction. Our high-quality customer service and inviting social atmosphere are designed to get the Rochester Community involved and playing.

We are in Bushnell’s Basin, a suburb of Rochester, New York. Our courts are open 7 days a week from 7am to 10:30pm, welcoming players of all levels.

Role Overview:
Become a part of something special – help us shape an unforgettable racquet sports experience for players of all ages and skill levels. As a Tennis Pro, you will provide engaging lessons and programs for juniors and adults. There are also opportunities to teach platform tennis and pickleball.

Responsibilities
• Conduct engaging and skill-appropriate tennis lessons for juniors and adults, encompassing adult drills, cardio drills, and private/semi-private lessons.
• Foster effective communication with parents and clients, providing progress updates and addressing inquiries promptly.
• Work alongside the General Manager, TCR employees, and fellow tennis professionals to ensure a positive experience for players.
• Infuse our Club with a warm and engaging personality to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications

Required
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience with juniors and group lessons.
• Proficiency in providing hitting lessons to players at a 4.5 USTA level.
• Strong communication and management skills.
• Flexibility to provide lessons for up to 30+ hours per week, with availability on weekends.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred
• RSPA/PTR Certified
• College or ranked junior tennis experience.
• Background in conducting junior tennis lessons.

Pay Rate: $32 – $55 per hour, depending on the type of lesson (i.e., private/group), benefits including health insurance, paid time off, food/beverage discount, club use.
