Assistant Tennis Professional
Tennis Club in Queens, New York is looking for an Assistant Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Tennis Professional’s primary responsibility is to instruct the summer camp as well as some evening classes/privates to all patrons and help set the standard for high quality coaching, fun and player development. They will work with the Director of Tennis to ensure that positive coaching, safety, fun and player development are at the center of every lesson.

Requirements for Tennis Professional
• A strong rapport with children and teenagers
• A great on-court presence and energy on court
• A team player with a friendly attitude and personality are a must
• Punctual, professional and positive with a strong work ethic
• A positive presence with a focus on safety, and customer service
• The interest and desire to help grass-roots players learn the game
• High School and/or College playing experience
• The ability to follow the lead from the Director of Tennis
• Proactive in providing value to the team

Responsibilities for Tennis Professional
• Teach clinics and camps as required by Director of Tennis and Director of Operations in accordance with positive coaching standards
• Provides beginning through advanced instruction for all ages and level players
• Able to run assigned programs independently of Director of Tennis
• Help create a welcoming atmosphere for all players and have a positive student focused attitude
• Help with court maintenance as needed
• Follow current health and safety guidelines
• Must clear DOJ/FBI and USTA Safe Play background checks
• Additional duties assigned by the Director of Tennis such as court drying, class preparation, etc.
• Must attend any staff meetings
