Assistant Tennis Professional
Tennis facility in Springfield, Missouri is looking for an Assistant Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
This position promotes and assists in managing all aspects of the Parks Department’s Community Tennis programs. This position may require an on-court demonstration as part of the final selection phase.

Day-to-day:
• Assists in overseeing and developing the curriculum for Cooper Tennis Academy and Community Tennis Programs
• Collaborates with colleagues to develop programs and community outreach
• Assists Head Pro with Recruiting, hiring and training teaching staff.
• Assists in performing assessments on classes and evaluates and trains teaching staff
• Runs leagues and tournaments within Community Tennis and outside organizations such as USTA, UTR, and ITT

Preferred Qualifications:
• 4 years of high level playing and/or coaching experience with strong teaching skills or 2 years of experience developing and running successful tennis programs
• USTA Player Development High Performance Coach, USTA Coaching, PTR, or USPTA Certification preferred or ability to complete certifications within 6 months of hiring.
• High-level communication skills with players, parents, coaches, and colleagues
• Great organization skills; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to growing the game through programs and community outreach.
