Assistant Tennis Professional
Country Club in Danbury, Connecticut is looking for an Assistant Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
Ridgewood Country Club is seeking a full-time assistant tennis and pickleball professional to work with adults and children from May 11th through early September (17 weeks) – dates are negotiable. The assistant will assist the director with junior camp, events, clinics, interclub practices, and other projects as directed.

The compensation includes salaried pay plus additional income for private lessons, independent clinics and stringing rackets. Minimum salaried income of $800/wk plus additional lesson income dependent on lesson bookings.

Requirements:
Must be 19+ years of age
Minimum UTR of 7 OR USTA Rating of 4.5+
At least (2) years of experience as a teaching professional
Must have knowledge of all pickleball rules
Must have your own transportation
Must be able to provide references
Background check required

Job Duties:

On-Court assistance:
-Feed additional courts alongside Director for adult clinics, junior sessions, interclub team practices, etc.
-Run junior camp & interclub team with assistance
-Play in with members as needed
-Run clinics, private lessons or private adult groups (for additional income)

Off-Court Assistance:
-Court maintenance for 2 Har-Tru courts (rolling, sweeping daily, watering, etc.)
-Seating area upkeep (watering flowers, wiping tables, sweeping, emptying bins)
-Fill coolers & cups
-Administrative assistance in Pro Shop (answer phones, post monthly photos and bulletins)
-Assistance with tennis and pickleball events (decorating, preparing courts, cleaning up)
-String rackets (for additional income)
-Attend interclub matches (juniors and adults)
