Offering top-tier tennis and racquet programs, BHYC is home to state-of-the-art facilities, 10 meticulously maintained Har-Tru tennis courts, and newly constructed paddle and pickleball courts. With a year-round racquet community, the Club hosts a variety of programs, including clinics, tournaments, and social events, that cater to players of all skill levels. BHYC places strong emphasis on fostering sportsmanship, skill development, and camaraderie. The Club is dedicated to being a leader in the private club racquets industry, providing its members with both competitive and recreational opportunities.

Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Racquets will oversee multiple programs, including tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, and bocce. This individual will provide our members with high-quality service and expertise while promoting engagement and participation in racquet activities. Additionally, they will manage inventory and billing protocols.

Characteristics & Requirements
• Residential Requirement: Must be local. Live close to the Bay Head area year-round to ensure availability for Club events and member engagement.
• Platform Paddle Expertise: Demonstrated excellence in platform paddle playing skills with a deep understanding of the game. Experience in coaching or teaching platform paddle to players of various skill levels is preferred.
• Coaching Experience: Prior experience in coaching racquet sports, especially platform paddle, pickleball, and tennis. Certification from a recognized governing body is required.
• Program Development: Ability to design, implement, and promote racquet programs and events for members, including clinics, tournaments, and social gatherings.
• Member Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with Club members, encouraging participation in racquet activities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and interaction with members.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to handle program logistics, scheduling, and marketing of events.
• Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with the Director of Racquets and other staff to enhance the Club’s offerings.
• Passion for Sport: A genuine passion for racquet sports and commitment to fostering a fun and engaging atmosphere for members.
• Flexibility: Must be adaptable to changing schedules and Club needs, including weekends and holidays.
