Head Tennis Professional
Club in Columbus, Indiana is looking for a Head Tennis Professional.
Position Overview:
The Club is seeking a dynamic, high-energy, and creative Tennis Professional to play an lead role in our thriving tennis program.
This is a full-time position combining on-court coaching, program development, and special event coordination, along with serving as the Head Professional at one of our outdoor seasonal programs.
We are looking for a personable, service-oriented professional with a strong playing background who is passionate about developing players of all ages and levels. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to become our Head Professional of Tennis and gain the necessary experience to become a Tennis Director.
Compensation & Benefits
• $48,000 – $60,000+ annually
• Hourly pay for clinics
• Percentage of private lessons & group lessons

• Paid tennis education & certification (USPTA/PTR)
Key Responsibilities
• Teach and demonstrate tennis in group clinics, private lessons, and programs
• Plan and organize engaging lesson plans
• Coordinate and run special events and programs
• Serve as Head Professional at a seasonal outdoor program
• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests
• Ensure a safe, fun, and structured learning environment
• Supervise participants during lessons, leagues, and tournaments
• Assist with program growth and player development
• Maintain courts and equipment (set-up, tear-down, organization)
• Communicate effectively with staff, players, and parents
• Utilize club software to schedule lessons and manage programming
Qualifications
• College playing experience mandatory
• Prior teaching or coaching experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with players ages 5 through adult
• High energy, positive attitude, and professionalism
• Availability for weeknights and weekends (indoor season)
• Pickleball experience could materialize into extra income.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
Certification (USPTA/PTR) not required initially—training and certification will be provided.
