Head Tennis Professional
University in Muncie, Indiana is looking for a Head Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
The Head Professional staff position is responsible for particular tennis programming, member/owner service and event management as assigned and directed by Director of Tennis and First Serve Management.
The Head Professional provides leadership and ensures that residents’ needs are met and that the
racquets experience we deliver surpasses expectations.

Essential Functions:
• Design, promote and lead: adult league teams and administer practices and coordinate with
captains and league players.
-Proactively manage and improve team tennis, coaching and culture.
• Instruct and teach private lessons and adult and junior clinics as requested by members or
management.
• Recruit for, support and teach tennis weekly events
• Contribute to marketing and social media advertising efforts through the following:
o Write, contribute, and add content for weekly newsletters and promotional pieces

Head Professional other Accountabilities
• Assist to maximize the Club’s facilities. Help develop “under-utilized” times of play.
• Be present and available for organized activities or other racquets functions and in emergency
situations.
• Assist with Club functions, especially the three social mixers, and promotions as
requested and assigned; be a part of the First Serve Community.

Knowledge and Skills
• Assist Staff and Management to provide the best member/owner experience and participate in
project management.
• Utilize verbal/written communication skills to perform daily functions.
• Portray a professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude/abilities.
• Be an enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
• Take initiative to ensure success.
• Utilize strong organization and be detailed focused.
• Utilize appropriate technology to foster member/resident and staff and program success.

Education and Professional Development
• Keep current with research in tennis teaching systems and programming trends.
• Manage and attend bi-weekly staff and management meetings and participate in training programs.
