Director of Racquet Sports
Club in Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania is looking for a Director of Racquet Sports.

Position Overview:
Are you a passionate racquet sports professional who thrives on creating exceptional member experiences? Do you have the leadership skills to grow dynamic tennis and pickleball programs while building a welcoming and engaging community?
Lake Naomi Club, one of Pennsylvania’s premier private recreation and residential clubs, is seeking an experienced and energetic Director of Racquet Sports to lead our thriving tennis and pickleball programs. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to shape the future of racquet sports at a vibrant, member-focused club known for excellence, community, and outstanding recreational amenities.

The successful candidate will be a visible and approachable leader who combines strong playing and teaching credentials with operational expertise, business acumen, and a genuine passion for building community through racquet sports.

What You’ll Do
Lead Outstanding Programs
• Develop and oversee a comprehensive schedule of tennis and pickleball instruction, including private lessons, group clinics, camps, and special programs.
• Create engaging opportunities for men, women, adults, juniors, beginners, and competitive players.
• Expand competitive and social play opportunities through leagues, tournaments, exhibitions, and member events.
• Continually introduce innovative programs that increase participation and member satisfaction.
Drive an Exceptional Member Experience
• Maintain a strong presence during peak play periods.
• Build meaningful relationships with members and guests.
• Serve as an ambassador for racquet sports within the Club community.
• Partner with Club leadership and committees to enhance programming and member engagement.
• Promote racquet sports activities through newsletters, marketing initiatives, and social media content.

Manage Operations and Facilities
• Oversee day-to-day tennis and pickleball operations.
• Manage court scheduling to maximize participation and member enjoyment.
• Lead Pro Shop operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and retail sales.
• Assist in budgeting, financial management, and program performance analysis.
• Support planning, maintenance, and enhancement of racquet sport facilities, including clay courts.
Develop and Inspire Staff
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise assistant professionals and racquet staff.
• Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture.
• Ensure accurate lesson tracking, payroll reporting, and compliance with Club policies.
• Promote a high standard of professionalism and service throughout the department.

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
• High-level competitive tennis experience, preferably with a collegiate playing background.
• College degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing and growing tennis and pickleball programs.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience managing retail or pro shop operations.
• Knowledge of clay court maintenance and facility operations.
• Proficiency with scheduling, communication, and program management technology.
• Current RSPA (formerly USPTA) or PTR Tennis Professional certification.
• Current RSPA (formerly USPTA) or PPR Pickleball Professional certification.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 plus commission.
