Tennis Professional
Country Club in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is looking for a Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
General Definition of Work: The Sea Pines Country Club Assistant Pickleball/Tennis Professional is responsible for assisting the Director of Racquet Sports in management of all facilities and activities related to our rackets program with a main focus on Pickleball. This position reports directly to the Director of Racquet Sports. Essential Functions The following functions are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.

• Provides group and individual pickleball and Tennis lessons (adults and children) as assigned by Director of Racquet Sports
• Promote and coordinate adult in-house leagues and tennis socials
• Communicates with Director of Racquet Sports to schedule and publicize club pickleball/tennis events
• Assists with special pickleball/tennis events and tournaments
• Answers phones in tennis/pickleball shop, books courts, and lessons and invoices members for purchases
• Supervises adult mixers and events
• Occasionally writes tennis articles for the club newsletter and website
• Attends staff meetings
• Assists Director of Racquet Sports, and completes other appropriate tasks assigned by the Director of Racquet Sports
• Involved with small amounts of daily maintenance of courts (pickleball & tennis) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Able to promote and teach private and group lessons to juniors and adults on outdoor courts with soft or hard surfaces
• Plays or represents the club in tournaments, pro-am’s, or off-site activities
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations
• Knowledge of certain computer programs including Word, Excel, and Publisher Education and Experience
• College degree preferred but not required
• Two to three-year competitive playing experience and/or pickleball supervisory experience
• Experience running junior/adult development programs
• Knowledge of tennis clay court maintenance a plus Special Requirements

 Certification with Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR)
 Player ability equal to a 4.0+ rating Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to control natural swing speed during instruction or matches with inexperienced players. Have sufficient stamina to tolerate hot and humid outdoor weather for several consecutive hours. Must be able to tolerate continuous standing, walking, running, bending, stooping, and repetitive actions. There will be use of light machinery and hand-held tools as well and frequent lifting and moving of objects.
