Head Tennis Professional
Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida is looking for a full-time Head Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
The Landings Yacht, Golf & Tennis Club in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a new Head Tennis Professional. We are a full-service country club with 13 outdoor lit Har-Tru clay courts, 8 pickleball courts, bocce, a fitness center, swimming pool, two restaurants and an 18-hole golf course. We have a very active adult program that includes all levels of play for Tennis and Pickleball and the candidate will be very busy on court. The Head Tennis Professional will directly report and assist the Director of Racquet Sports in maintaining a positive, organized and high standard program. The right candidate would be someone who is professional, enthusiastic, punctual, driven and organized. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, energetic and passionate about tennis and be able to teach, train and coach individuals and teams of all ages and levels. This includes planning and conducting adult clinics, women’s tennis team practices, USTA team practices, Cardio Tennis and much more. This person must also have excellent professional communication skills when dealing with private club members and guests. The applicant must have a certification with USPTA or PTR (USPTA preferred) and must have a strong background in competitive play (at least a 4.5 NTRP rating). Pickleball experience would be a bonus.

Job Summary:
• Responsible for teaching, planning, implementing and promoting tennis programs for all age groups, while providing outstanding customer service to the Members and Guests of the Club.
• Assists the Director of Racquet Sports with daily inspection of our tennis and pickleball facility to ensure safety for all members and guests.
• Effectively plans, organizes and conducts tennis lessons for all ages and abilities.
• Works with the Director to monitor tennis shop operations, merchandising, ensures the appropriate merchandise is stocked.
• Creating and sending communications to tennis membership and implementing marketing strategies
• Ensures the membership receives exemplary customer service and understands the importance of building individual guest contacts.
• Assists in planning and promoting social tennis/pickleball events for membership.
• Arranges and conducts tennis training camps, skill improvement courses, and clinics.
• Will be required to work some shop hours and work some weekends as we are a very active club with a lot of social events.
• Occasionally repairs and restrings tennis equipment.
• Must be willing to attend at least one education conference per year.

This is a full-time and year-round position. Start date available as early as May 1, 2024. Compensation will include a base salary, hourly rates for group and private lessons. Estimated salary of $40k-$55k depending on applicant’s experience. Percentage of all lessons and clinics. 401k available after 1 year of employment at our club. Uniform and equipment package included in benefits. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
