Racquet Professional
Club in Durham, North Carolina is looking for a Racquet Professional.

Position Overview:
Hope Valley Country Club is seeking a part-time racquets professional to join its team. The racquets complex features seven Har-Tru clay courts, one hard court, and three dedicated pickleball courts. The program is active with daily lesson and clinic offerings in tennis and pickleball for all levels, adults and children.

The Racquet Professional is responsible for providing an excellent racquet experience to all members and guests via on-court instruction, hospitality, innovative programming, embracing all skill levels, timely communication, and promotion of the club’s offerings. He or she manages his or her individual racquet lessons and participates as an instructor of the club’s group programming. Racquet professionals are included in developing and setting programs in collaboration with the Director and other pros. Racquet professionals are also expected to monitor court usage and booking, maintenance of courts and all racquet facilities and monitoring and enforcing the club’s rules. This position reports to the Director of Racquet Sports.

Qualified candidates will be USPTA/PTR certified or be willing to obtain certification within six months of hire, have at least one year of private club experience in a country club setting, have familiarity with the ROGY pathway and have the ability and desire to work with all ages and skill levels. Pickleball experience is a plus, but not required for the position. Racquet stringing experience is also a plus, but not required for the position.

Expected hours between 15-20 per week, mostly weekday afternoons and weekends. A full-time position may be available for the right candidate.

Compensation includes hourly base rate, above average hourly clinic pay, and 75% commission on private instruction. Health insurance and benefit package available for full-time employees.
