Junior Tennis Director
Country Club in Overland Park, Kansas is looking for a full-time Junior Tennis Director.

Position Overview:
Milburn has 5 lit tennis courts with pickleball lines on all courts, an 18-hole championship golf course, brand new pool remodel in 2021, a fitness center and clubhouse dining. Milburn has over 400+ social memberships and 250+ golf memberships and over 75 families on the waitlist to join. The tennis and pickleball programs have grown year over year with a large junior program, active adult program and lesson clientele.

Milburn is seeking a Director of Junior Tennis (DJT) to run clinics, lessons, leagues, socials and other junior related events. With assistance from the Director of Tennis and Head Pro, the DJT will be responsible for registration of junior clinic participants year-round, creating new programming, growing the junior program year over year and assisting with adult programming. The DJT will be required to work evenings and weekends around children’s schedules after school and longer hours outside during the summer months. The DJT will also be responsible for assisting with pickleball programming and for the right candidate, creating a junior pickleball program.

Other responsibilities required, but not limited to, knowledge of stringing racquets, maintenance of the facility, promotion of other events or activities within the tennis department or club. Must be able to help with install and take down of seasonal bubble. Answer emails and phone calls promptly, knowledge of Microsoft Office and a positive teammate to others. Lastly, the candidate will be working in the office to be available for members when not teaching as part of the salary position.

The ideal candidate must have high energy, a passion for coaching and self-motivation to grow the junior program. The candidate must be USPTA or PTR certified to be considered and have an NTRP 4.0+ rating. Pickleball certification is not required but encouraged. The position is available for immediate fulfillment to the right applicant.

Job Type and compensation: Full-Time base salary with commission structure for lessons, clinics, leagues and events.
