About the Role
JTCC is hiring a full-time Community Outreach Manager to oversee the Community Champs program, which delivers free tennis and academic services to youth in the D.C. metro area.
Job Responsibilities
Program Management (50%)
Coordinate free and low-cost tennis and educational programming for ~1,000 youth per year across Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, and Washington, D.C.
Identify schools and recreation centers to serve as program partners and create seasonal schedules accordingly
Manage the ~$415,000/year annual program budget in collaboration with the Vice President
Serve as a resource for coaches who work in the program by evaluating product delivery, addressing site concerns, and brainstorming improvements
Craft programmatic reports to share with donors and clients
Assist the fundraising team with grants and solicitations related to the Community Champs program
Track student demographics and outcomes to make data-driven programmatic adjustments
Hire and manage part-time coaches to work in the Community Champs program
Manage a full-time program associate who oversees the educational curriculum and volunteerism
On Court Program Delivery (20%)
Engaging on court while establish a fun and energetic on court experience for all players
Lead clinics, group lessons, and assist with any programs events as needed
Ensure smooth operations through equipment set-up and clean up
Input on players for moving along the JTCC pathway
Produce report cards for players taught each session
Scholarships and Financial Aid (20%)
Assist coaches in identifying students from the Community Champs program who will join intermediate training at the JTCC facility
Support students and families in their transition to JTCC and progression through the tennis pathway
Vet families for financial need and offer financial aid in accordance with the annual budget
Organizational Support (10%)
Attend and support broad community events
Support the organization at-large with various projects including, but not limited to, the after-school tutoring program and the annual gala
Attend cross-departmental meetings to improve collaboration across programs
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
2 – 4 years of experience in youth development
1 – 2 years of experience managing people and/or programs
Innovator who enjoys testing new ideas and thinking outside of the box
Passion for equal access to sports and education
Interest and/or knowledge of tennis is a plus
Have a license and able to drive a 10-passenger van
Additional Details
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Employment Location: College Park, MD
Start date: January 2025
Compensation
$55,000-$70,000 dependent upon experience
