Seasonal Tennis Instructor
Club in Block Island, Rhode Island is looking for a Seasonal Tennis Instructor.

Position Overview:
The Block Island Club is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable Tennis Professional to join our summer program. We offer an engaging environment for tennis and pickleball enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. The Tennis Pro will lead adult clinics and junior programs and provide private lessons, fostering a fun and supportive atmosphere. Housing will be provided on-site, making this an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a summer position in a scenic coastal location.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Adult Tennis & Pickleball Clinics: Conduct group lessons for adults of varying skill levels. Provide instruction on technique, strategy, and fitness.

Junior Tennis Clinics: Plan and run junior tennis clinics (18U), engaging young players with age-appropriate drills, games, and lessons to develop their skills and love for the game.

Private Lessons: Offer one-on-one coaching for individuals seeking personalized instruction. Tailor lessons to meet the specific goals and needs of each player.

Maintenance: Help maintain the tennis courts area in good condition, ensuring that they are safe and ready for play.

Qualifications:
-Experience: Previous teaching experience preferred, ideally at a school, tennis club, resort, or other recreational program. Experience working with both adults and juniors is a plus.
-Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players of all ages. A solid understanding of tennis and pickleball techniques and strategies.:

Certification from a recognized tennis association (e.g., USPTA, PTR) is preferred but not required.

CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
