Assistant Director of Racquet Sports
Club in Keswick, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Director of Racquet Sports.

Position Overview:
Club at Glenmore, located in scenic Keswick, Virginia, just outside of Charlottesville, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Director of Racquet Sports to join our team. Glenmore is a private, member-owned club nestled within a vibrant, gated residential community—one of the region’s fastest-growing areas.

Our club offers exceptional amenities, including an 18-hole golf course, Har-Tru and hard-surface tennis courts, pickleball and platform tennis courts, a 24-hour fitness center, heated junior Olympic pool, adults-only and toddler pools, and a full-service clubhouse with year-round dining and event spaces. Many residents of the Glenmore community are eager to take full advantage of our expanding racquet sports offerings.

Position Summary
The Assistant Director will report directly to the Director of Sports and Racquets and play a pivotal role in promoting, organizing, and executing engaging racquet sports programming. This individual should be service-oriented, reliable, a strong communicator, and a team player who enjoys working with people and contributing to an exceptional club experience.

Regular Schedule:
• Monday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Note: Schedule, hours, and responsibilities may vary based on weather, season, and member participation.

Primary Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate year-round private and group instruction in tennis, with emphasis on USTA adult clinics, junior programs, and evening/weekend activities
• Oversee and develop all pickleball programming, including lessons, member events, leagues, and tournaments
• Organize and direct seasonal junior clinics, camps, and match play
• Create and manage member match play opportunities (e.g., Happy Hours, Round Robins, Compass Draw events, singles ladders)
• Coordinate adult inter- and intra-club play, including USTA league teams
• Participate in major club racquet events (e.g., Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Racquets Fest)
• Plan and support beginner junior tennis events (e.g., USTA L7) for club members and local community
• Assist in Pro Shop operations, including customer service, merchandising, scheduling, and phone support
• Provide racquet stringing and regripping services in a timely manner
Secondary Responsibilities
• Support merchandise and racquet sales
• Assist with facility and court maintenance as needed

Qualifications
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain—club provided if necessary)
• Active or in-progress certification with USPTA, USPTR, and IPTPA
• APTA Platform Tennis certification is a plus but not required
