Lead Pickleball Instructor / Tennis Professional
Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is looking for a full-time Lead Pickleball Instructor / Tennis Professional.

RCW Athletic Club is a premier racquet sports club serving Lancaster County since 1971, featuring 6 indoor hard tennis courts, 8 outdoor Har-Tru courts, and 2 outdoor padel courts—with a fast-growing pickleball community and plans for 10 permanent, dedicated pickleball courts. Our mission is simple: elevating lives one swing at a time, through great coaching, positive energy, and a welcoming, community-first vibe.

Role Overview (Dual Role):
This is a pickleball-first coaching position (≈70–85% of weekly hours) with flexible tennis coaching (≈15–30%) as needed to support demand, round out hours, and serve our broader racquet sports community. You’ll be the primary teaching pro for RCW Pickleball—owning group clinics, private lessons, small groups, and on-court player development—while also stepping onto the tennis court for lessons, clinics, team practices, and seasonal programs when scheduled.

What You’ll Do — Pickleball (Primary)
Lead Instruction: Run beginner through advanced clinics, private lessons, and small groups.
Player Development: Build individualized plans, track progress, and deliver consistent, actionable feedback.
Program Quality: Collaborate with our Pickleball Director on curriculum, clinics, progressions, and new offerings.
Community Presence: Be a positive, visible on-court leader—approachable, energetic, and professional.
Events & Leagues: Support tournaments, leagues, socials, and community events.

What You’ll Do — Tennis (Supporting / As Needed)
Teach private and semi-private lessons and assist with group clinics.
Help run USTA team practices, league play, and seasonal/holiday camps.
Jump in for club mixers, tournaments, and special programming when scheduled.
Maintain timely communication with players/families and collaborate with the tennis staff at team meetings.

What Makes You a Great Fit
Pickleball: Deep knowledge and passion; prior coaching experience strongly preferred (PPR/USAP certs a plus).
Tennis: Solid playing background (target ~4.5+), prior coaching experience; USPTA/PTR cert preferred.
People Skills: Excellent communicator who connects across ages/levels; reliable, organized, and team-first.
Mindset: High energy, “place of yes,” growth-oriented (Kaizen), kind, and professional.

Compensation
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. This role offers high earning potential with RCW’s growing demand for pickleball instruction, and an incentive structure may be available based on performance.
