Tennis Professional
Club in Indianapolis, Indiana is looking for a Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
A thriving Health club with a membership of 4,500+ near downtown Indianapolis has an immediate opening for a part-time Tennis Professional to join our TEAM!

The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated and professional individual with great costumer service skills who is able to work as a member of a TEAM with the others on staff. The candidate would be passionate about teaching and growing the sport of tennis within the club and the surrounding area.

The candidate would be expected to lead and/or assist with existing programs as well given the opportunity to develop and lead new programs and clinics. Experience teaching intermediate-advanced adults is a plus as well as knowledge and experience teaching beginner adults using primarily “live” ball methods. Knowledge, understanding and enthusiasm for modern 10 & Under progressions is a must.

There are immediate development opportunities for growth our within our existing youth & junior program as well as the adult program.
We offer a competitive and incentivized compensation structure with bi-weekly performance bonus and seasonal bonus. Starting hourly rate and commission % will be based on experience.

Immediate hours would be 6pm and after on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. 5-10 hours per week. Candidate can teach more than that if they want (private lessons).

Qualifications
• Some teaching/coaching experience in a club environment would be preferred but not necessary. Must be able to play at a 4.5 level or higher.
• Must be USPTR and/or USPTA certified or another accredited nationally recognized certification (if not certified, candidate must obtain a certification within 6 months of hiring date).
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be comfortable and able provide a great experience on court for clients of all ages and playing abilities. Helping clients to reach their short- and long-term goals.
• Maintain a safe and clean playing environment while on the court.
• Maintain a professional appearance and act accordingly in and around the club at all times.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Email & Excel).
• Well organized with strong communication skills
