Club in Forest Hills, New York is looking for a Tennis Professional.

Founded in 1892, The West Side Tennis Club is one of the most historic and prestigious racquet clubs in the United States. Home to 38 tennis courts across five distinct surfaces—including Grass, Red Clay, Har-Tru, Hard Courts, and Synthetic Grass—the Club also features Platform Tennis, Padel, and Pickleball, offering year-round racquet sports programming for players of all ages and abilities. With a thriving adult and junior membership, a rich competitive tradition, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the court, The West Side Tennis Club provides an exceptional environment for racquet sports professionals to build their careers.

We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and member-focused Tennis Professional to join our Racquet Sports team. The ideal candidate is passionate about player development, enjoys working with both adults and juniors, and is committed to delivering exceptional instruction while helping foster a welcoming and engaging club atmosphere.

Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality private, semi-private, and group tennis instruction to adult and junior players of varying skill levels.
• Develop lesson plans and training programs that promote technical, tactical, and strategic improvement.
• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement and a positive Net Promoter Score
• Creates exceptional member experiences by involving members with programs, tournaments and special events, fully utilizing available marketing support and tools, and ensures all tennis facilities and equipment are clean, organized and in good working condition
• Assist with the planning and execution of clinics, camps, leagues, tournaments, round robins, social events, and special programming.
• Encourage member participation in Club activities and help cultivate a strong, active racquet sports community.
• Support junior development pathways and assist with junior camps, clinics, and competitive programming.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and positive on-court environment.
• Collaborate with fellow professionals and Club leadership to enhance the overall member experience.
• Represent The West Side Tennis Club in a professional manner both on and off the court.

Qualifications
• PTR, USPTA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Previous experience teaching private and group tennis lessons.
• Strong knowledge of tennis fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
• Ability to effectively teach players of all ages and skill levels.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Professional, energetic, and team-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to build strong relationships with members and promote Club programming.
• CPR and AED certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and actively participate in on-court instruction.

Compensation: $85,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
