Apprentice High Performance Tennis Coach
Club in Manhasset, New York is looking for an Apprentice High Performance Tennis Coach.

Position Overview:
Part-Time | Paid Position | New York / Long Island / Queens

We are seeking an Apprentice High-Performance Tennis Coach who wants to build a career in the high-performance junior tennis space.

This is a paid, part-time developmental coaching position designed for a strong player who wants to transition into becoming a legitimate high-performance coach. You will work directly with nationally ranked junior players, primarily during homeschool training hours, while learning within an established high-performance training environment.

The Role

The Apprentice Coach will:

• Assist with on-court training of nationally ranked and aspiring elite junior players.
• Learn and implement our high-performance coaching philosophies, training methodologies, and player-development systems.
• Serve as a high-level hitting partner while progressively taking on greater coaching responsibility.
• Assist with individualized player development, drilling, point construction, match play and competitive training.
• Travel and/or transport players when required for training, tournaments and competition.
• Work closely with senior coaches to understand the complete process of developing high-performance junior players.
• Have the opportunity to develop their own coaching identity, experience and reputation within the high-performance tennis community.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a 10+ UTR playing level or comparable high-level collegiate/professional playing background.
• Has a strong understanding of competitive tennis.
• Is genuinely interested in coaching as a career, not simply working as a hitting partner.
• Is coachable, reliable, professional and eager to learn.
• Connects well with competitive junior players.
• Is available during weekday homeschool/daytime hours.
• Has the flexibility and ability to travel and transport players when necessary.
• Wants mentorship and an opportunity to grow into a larger role within a high-performance program.

You will gain hands-on experience working with highly competitive juniors inside a program with a track record of developing and cultivating high-performance players.

The objective is not simply to fill court hours. We want to develop the right individual into a stronger coach—giving them exposure to player development, training methodology, competitive planning, match analysis and the day-to-day demands of high-performance coaching.
