Tennis Club Manager
Club in Portland, Oregon is looking for a Tennis Club Manager.

Position Overview:
Beaverton Sports Club is a new 5-court indoor tennis club and the newest location in the Woodinville Sports Club family — home to Tier 1 Academy for juniors and a growing adult tennis community. We’re looking for a tennis person to run it.

You’ll be accountable for everything that happens on site: courts ready every day, a trained front desk team, academy families well taken care of, and a growing adult tennis community — USTA and in-house leagues, ladders, tournaments, events, court time and food & beverage. You’ll run the club side by side with the Director of Tennis while Woodinville’s central team handles marketing, finance, HR and scheduling, so you stay on the floor and on court.

We’re looking for 3+ years in tennis club operations, experience leading a front-line team, and comfort owning a membership or revenue number. Competitive or teaching background a plus.

Full-time, salaried, $60,000–$65,000 base plus quarterly performance bonus.

Position Summary
Runs the club. Beaverton Sports Club is a 5-court indoor tennis club and the newest location in the Woodinville Sports Club family — home to Tier 1 Academy for juniors and a growing adult tennis community. The Tennis Club Manager is accountable for everything that happens on site and carries the company’s mission and vision at Beaverton. They own four things: the courts and facility are ready, the front desk team is trained, program families are taken care of, and adult play and non-program revenue grow — leagues, tournaments, events, court time and food & beverage. They run the club side by side with the Director of Tennis and make sure the work of Woodinville’s shared services lands on court. This is a role for a tennis person who leads people well and knows how a club should feel.

Key Responsibilities

Member and player experience – Own the condition of the club — courts, nets, lighting and facility ready to standard every day; issues escalated – Own the member and player experience end to end: arrival, check-in, service recovery, and the feel of the club – Ensure academy, program and adult league families are handled well — questions answered, problems solved, and the highest-value members in the building treated that way

Front desk team – Carry the company’s mission and vision at Beaverton and keep the team pointed at it – Hire, schedule, train and develop the front desk team covering open-to-close, seven days; set expectations and handle day-to-day performance – Deliver the WSC service standard at Beaverton, in partnership with the Director of Athlete Services, who sets it

Adult tennis community, court time and non-program revenue – Build the adult tennis community — USTA and in-house leagues, ladders, mixers, socials and tournaments that turn visitors into members and members into regulars – Own court time and utilization — open play, ball machine, off-peak and repeat-booking habits, grown against plan – Own membership growth and retention: tours, trials, conversion, cancellations and the monthly net number – Grow events and food & beverage — club events, socials, local partnerships and the café/bar line that makes the club a place people stay

Club operations and shared services – Partner with the Director of Tennis as co-lead of the club — aligned weekly on court time, programming needs and member issues – Oversee and follow up on work delivered by central shared services; flag anything behind, missing or at risk — early and in writing – Own the site budget, report revenue against plan weekly, and run the weekly club ops meeting; adaptable as the club adds pickleball or fitness

What Success Looks Like – The courts and club are ready every day and players notice — programs run without friction caused by the building or the desk – The front desk team is fully staffed, trained to standard, and covers all hours without the manager backfilling – Membership grows on plan, cancellations are understood, and adult leagues, court time, events and F&B are real revenue lines with a growing calendar – The Director of Tennis can focus on programs, because the facility and the front desk team are handled

Qualification

Required – 3+ years in tennis club operations — court management, adult and junior programming, USTA leagues, tournaments and events – Experience leading a multi-layer team, including hiring and scheduling a front desk team – Demonstrated ownership of a revenue or membership number; strong service instincts and in-the-moment judgment – Strong written and verbal communication, project management and follow-through with a mostly remote central team – Able to work club hours, including evenings and weekends, on the floor for extended periods

Preferred – Competitive or teaching tennis background (USPTA / PTR a plus); USTA league captain or tournament director experience – Familiarity with CourtReserve or a comparable court booking and membership system – Experience opening or growing a new club

Compensation
$60,000–$65,000 base salary plus quarterly performance bonus tied to member retention, membership growth, non-program revenue (leagues, court time, events, F&B), and member ratings.
