Director of Tennis
Club in Irvine, California is looking for a Director of Tennis.

Job Duties
General/Programming
• Provide the members with a high-quality experience on and off the tennis court
• Promote an overall positive community and culture among the tennis pro staff and membership base.
• Manage member and guest concerns
• Oversee and work with maintenance to ensure the cleanliness, presentation, and safety of the tennis courts and surrounding areas
• Develop and market all adult programming
• Monitor adult programming and pro scheduling
• Create and oversee socials and club tournaments
• Perform annual reviews for coaching staff, programs, and events
• Oversee men’s and women’s league teams
• Serve as a resource to men’s and women’s league teams
• Be sure that all league team players are members of the club
• Collaborate with appropriate local tennis organizations and be a professional representative of the Racquet Club of Irvine in the tennis community.

Coach Staff Management
• Oversee tennis coach hires and dismissals in collaboration with General Manager
• Responsible for the onboarding of all new coaching staff (training and orientation)
• Ensure coaches follow all club rules
• Set up private lessons with coaches for all lesson inquiries
• Run tennis coach staff meetings for policy review and education
• Work closely with the Junior Tennis Director to ensure quality and balanced court scheduling
Managerial
• Attend and contribute to Leadership Team meetings
• Manage program budgets and pricing
• Monitor court usage: schedule and communicate with all types of block bookings (leagues, groups, etc.)
• Oversee registration and rosters
• Manage newsletters, signage at the club, and social media accounts
• Collaborate with other departments

Requirements
• Coaching certification from reputable association
• The ability to play at a 4.5 level or higher
• Minimum of 10 years of coaching experience
• Minimum of 5 years in similar position
• Comfortable speaking to both small and large groups
• Possess financial management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Leadership skills
• University degree
• Provide list of professional and previous direct report references
