Tennis Director
Tennis Academy in Winnipeg, Manitoba is looking for a Tennis Director.

Position Overview:
Taylor Tennis Centre is looking for a dynamic leader with a strong ‘on-court’ presence to take on the role of Tennis Director. The Director will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating all aspects of the tennis program at the Centre. This will include instruction, supervision of on court staff, scheduling and planning of programs and events as well as the High Performance Academy.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and report to the General Manager and Ownership. This full-time permanent position requires the Director to be on-site evenings and weekends.

Program Development
• Organize and oversee academy, clinics, private lessons, tournaments and social tennis events. Develop seasonal schedules, ensure programs are well attended and profitable while also addressing concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
• Design and implement comprehensive tennis programs for juniors, adults and seniors at all skill levels while communicating regularly with participants and parents.
• Track program participation, revenue and expenses. Prepare reports and provide strategic input to the GM and Ownership on a quarterly basis.
• On court coaching as needed for effective programming

Staffing
• Hire, train and manage tennis professionals.
• Coordinate schedules for instructors and ensure high quality coaching standards
• Provide ongoing professional development for staff

Qualifications
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong background in program development, with a proven ability to organize and manage programs and staff
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred
• Tennis Canada Coach 3 or USTA Level 3
• College-level or professional playing experience
• Experience with tennis specific software
