Director of Racquet Sports & Fitness
Tennis facility in Boca Raton, Florida is looking for a Director of Racquet Sports & Fitness.

Position Overview:
A premier gated community is seeking a polished, business minded Director of Racquet Sports & Fitness to lead its racquet center and fitness operations. This is a high visibility role serving an active, discerning membership in a country club style environment.

The Role

You will operate and manage the day to day of the racquet program, including tennis and pickleball, while also serving as the senior leader over the community’s fitness function. You will be the face of the program: on site, hands on, and accountable for delivering a first-class member experience.

Racquet Center Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the pro shop and all tennis and pickleball programming, including private and group lessons, clinics, leagues, round robins, and socials

• Provide programs for all levels of play and coordinate league teams with county level associations

• Schedule court play, maintain the reservation system, and enforce facility rules

• Maintain a strong personal on-site presence, including at all paid resident tournaments and sponsored events

• Oversee routine court maintenance, equipment, and the day-to-day work of the court maintenance vendor

• Manage pro shop POS, guest fees, waivers, branded merchandise, and monthly inventory reporting

• Promote and administer special events in coordination with community leadership

• Operate the community racquet club social media presence and Playbypoint system

• Train, supervise, and hold accountable to all racquet staff while maintaining a clean, professional, uniformed presence at all times Fitness Oversight Responsibilities

• Oversee fitness operations for the community as a whole

• Hire and manage a dedicated Fitness Manager, reporting directly to you, who will oversee day-to-day gym operations

• Ensure gym compliance including usage rules, waivers, member conduct, equipment standards, and safety protocols are consistently enforced

• Review and confirm current, adequate insurance coverage for all fitness vendors and independent trainers operating within the community, including general liability, professional liability, and any required certifications, while maintaining documentation on file

• Implement systems to ensure towels are consistently returned and the fitness space always remains presentable

• Plan and execute a robust class schedule for the community, including group fitness, wellness sessions, and specialty programming

Required Credentials

• Active and in good standing: USPTA and IPTPA

• Proven experience operating and managing residential community racquet programs in an upscale setting

• Demonstrated success building programs from the ground up and retaining members

• Ability to carry required insurance including general liability, sexual abuse and molestation coverage, workers’ compensation, professional liability, umbrella, and auto coverage at industry standard limits

• Strong financial, operational, and personnel management skills

• Polished communicator comfortable interfacing with a board, residents, vendors, and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• RSPA (Racquet Sports Professionals Association) certification Engagement

• Independent contractor structure preferred (LLC preferred)

• Year-round operation with seasonal schedule adjustments

• Compensation commensurate with experience and program scope

• Exclusive provider arrangement of the facilities
