Head Men’s Tennis Coach
University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is looking for a Head Men’s Tennis Coach.

Position Overview:
Directs and plans goals for a competitive NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis program in accordance with University, conference, and NCAA rules and procedures; recruits and develops student-athletes, as well as committing to student-athlete personal and academic welfare; committing to gender and ethnic diversity; participates in support of development of marketing and fund-raising activities, public and media relations activities; oversees practices, competition, assistant coaches, and budget (including scholarships, travel, equipment, etc.)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Performs coaching and recruiting duties.
2. Fields a competitive team.
3. Complies with NCAA and conference rules and regulations, and department plans.
4. Demonstrates effectiveness of public relations, media relations, and people skills.
5. Demonstrates effectiveness in monitoring student-athlete academic progress, retention, and graduation.
6. Sets and accomplishes program goals.
7. Effectively maintains budget, organizational skills and student-athlete involvement.
8. Maintains effective working relationship with department support staff and other university personnel.
9. Demonstrates effectiveness in maintaining discipline and control of student-athletes and program.
10. Effectiveness in management of scholarships.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
