Club in Denver, Colorado is looking for a full-time Director of Tennis.
Position Overview:
Opportunity
Crestmoor Community Association (CCA) is seeking its next Director of Tennis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, relationship-driven leader to oversee a thriving tennis program and help shape its future. The Director of Tennis will provide leadership for all aspects of the Club’s tennis program by developing engaging programming, mentoring a talented team of professionals, fostering meaningful member relationships, and delivering an outstanding experience for players of every age and ability.
Crestmoor’s tennis community includes more than 300 active junior and adult players, over 50 USTA league teams annually, and a long standing tradition of competitive and social tennis. The Director will have the opportunity to build on that tradition while continuing to grow the program, strengthen member engagement, and enhance the overall tennis experience.
This is a full-time, year-round leadership position, with peak programming occurring from April through October.
About Crestmoor Community Association
Founded in 1954, Crestmoor Community Association is a private neighborhood swim and tennis club located in the heart of East Denver.
Serving approximately 375 member families, Crestmoor is known for its welcoming atmosphere, active membership, and strong sense of community. The Club features six hard tennis courts, four of which are lighted, along with three swimming pools and a vibrant calendar of recreational and social activities.
Tennis is a cornerstone of the Crestmoor experience, bringing members together through junior development, instructional programming, league play, social events, and the Club’s signature Club Championship Tournament. The Director of Tennis will have the opportunity to build on this tradition while helping shape the future of one of Denver’s most engaged tennis communities.
Overview
The Director of Tennis provides strategic leadership for all tennis programming, operations, instruction, staffing, communications, and member engagement.
Reporting to the Executive Board, Tennis Committee, and working with other CCA staff, including the General Manager and Operations Coordinator, the Director is responsible for creating an outstanding tennis experience while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the Club’s tennis facilities and programs.
Success in this role requires a balance of leadership, hospitality, business management, teaching excellence, communication, and operational execution.

Primary Responsibilities
Leadership & Member Experience
Establish and execute a vision for an engaging, inclusive, and professionally managed tennis program.
Foster a welcoming culture that encourages participation from players of all ages and skill levels.
Serve as the visible leader and ambassador of Crestmoor Tennis.
Build meaningful relationships with members and their families.
Deliver exceptional hospitality and member service.
Partner with Club leadership to continuously enhance the member experience.
Tennis Programming
Plan, organize, promote, and oversee all adult and junior tennis programming.
Develop seasonal schedules for leagues, clinics, lessons, tournaments, exhibitions, social events, and member activities.
Direct and manage Crestmoor’s annual Club Championship tournament.
Expand programming opportunities to increase participation and member engagement.
Maintain a comprehensive annual tennis calendar.
USTA League Administration
Lead one of Colorado’s largest neighborhood club USTA programs, fielding more than 50 USTA league teams annually.
Manage all league registration, scheduling, team formation, court assignments, captain support, and compliance with USTA Colorado rules and regulations.
Maintain expert knowledge of USTA league structure, NTRP ratings, and USTA Colorado policies.
Build strong relationships with USTA Colorado staff and league coordinators.
Instruction & Player Development
Provide exceptional private and group instruction for juniors and adults.
Lead the Club’s junior development pathway.
Mentor assistant professionals to ensure instructional excellence.
Maintain a strong on-court presence during peak programming and major events.
Staff Leadership
Recruit, hire, train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate assistant professionals and seasonal staff.
Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, hospitality, and professionalism.
Conduct regular staff meetings.
Ensure appropriate staffing and court coverage throughout the season.
Operations & Administration
Oversee daily tennis operations and court scheduling.
Manage Club Automation (or comparable software) for registrations, court reservations, billing coordination, communications, and reporting.
Coordinate with maintenance staff regarding courts and facilities.
Prepare payroll documentation and operational reports.
Assist with development and management of the annual tennis operating budget.
Analyze participation trends and recommend new programming opportunities.
Communication & Club Engagement
Communicate proactively with members through newsletters, email, website updates, and social media.
Promote programming and major Club events.
Attend Club meetings and committee meetings.
Collaborate with other departments to support the overall member experience.

Qualifications
Preferred candidates will possess:
RSPA (formerly USPTA) or PTR professional certification.
Five or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in private club or tennis facility management.
Demonstrated expertise in USTA league administration, including NTRP ratings, league operations, scheduling, team formation, and USTA Colorado procedures.
Experience leading a high-volume tennis program with multiple leagues, teams, and seasonal programming.
Demonstrated success recruiting, mentoring, and leading tennis professionals.
Experience with Club Automation or comparable club management software preferred.
Budget management and operational planning experience preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Collegiate playing experience and/or high-level competitive background preferred.
Compensation
CCA offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including salary, teaching revenue opportunities, performance incentives, and professional development support. Salary range is $85,000-$120,000 BOE.
