Director of Adult Programs
Tennis facility in Queens, New York is looking for a Director of Adult Programs.
Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Delivery
Design and manage a full calendar of adult programming: leagues, clinics, cardio tennis, USTA teams, social events, and private lessons.
Develop curriculum for all adult levels—from beginner to advanced.
Adapt offerings based on member feedback, seasonal trends, and facility goals.
Leadership & Staff Oversight
Hire, train, schedule, and manage adult program teaching pros.
Conduct regular evaluations and provide mentorship for coaching staff.
Ensure alignment with club values, teaching methodology, and safety standards.
Growth & Retention
Drive program participation and revenue growth through creative marketing, referral incentives, and partnerships.
Collaborate with marketing team or lead social media strategy for adult programming.
Maintain a strong presence on court and engage with players regularly to build community.
Operations & Administration
maintain accurate attendance, billing, and scheduling records.
Create and monitor program budgets and manage related expenses.
Coordinate with club leadership on resource use, court time, and facility needs.
Member Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for adult players.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and care.
Foster a positive, welcoming atmosphere that promotes improvement and connection.
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching or managing adult tennis programs.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
USPTA or PTR certification.
Experience running leagues and/or USTA teams is a plus.
Proven ability to grow programs and lead a team of professionals.
Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Reports To
Director of Tennis / Senior Director of Operations
Compensation negotiable dependent upon experience
Salary amount of $10,000-15,000
Program Rate of $40-55 per hour
Private Lesson Compensation of $75-100 per hour
