Assistant Tennis Professional
Club in Melrose, Massachusetts is looking for an Assistant Tennis Professional.

Position Overview:
Qualifications – A successful candidate will be career-oriented, have an outgoing personality and have tennis teaching experience – Two or more years of private club coaching experience required – USPTA, PTR, PPR, PPTR; certified or willing to be certified – USTA rating of at least 4.5 or college playing experience is preferred. – Professional and/or competitive tennis background desired – Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred, but not required..

Responsibilities – Assist the Director of Racquets with setting up and running programs, teaching lessons, managing staff and all other aspects of the racquet’s programs – Be present at all major functions and responsible for the operation in the Director of Racquet’s absence – Assisting and leading tennis and pickleball clinics, lessons, and events – Assist the Director of Racquets in the development of programs for adults including competitive and recreational activities – Promote and help run socials, tournaments, and other Club events – Assisting in the operation and maintenance of the tennis facility – including four courts and tennis hut – Supervising a small staff of tennis Instructors and directing them in daily operations. – Provide organizational and structural support for junior clinics – Instruct adult and junior clinics for tennis, platform tennis & pickleball – Foster a community spirit and emphasize member engagement in promoting racquets activities and programs – Required Skills – Ability to coach and direct players with positive, ethical, and approved coaching methods. – Positive and professional attitude with high degree of integrity. – Strong work ethic and ability to handle a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Schedule: – Weekend, evening, and holiday shifts are required.
