Tennis Director
Tennis Academy in Spring, Texas is looking for a Tennis Director.

Position Overview:
The Racquet Club & Elite Academy — one of Houston’s premier tennis and padel facilities — is seeking an exceptional Academy Director to lead our player development programs beginning August 2026. This is a rare opportunity to shape the competitive identity of a storied institution with a 15+ member coaching staff, USTA Texas, ITF, and a track record of developing ATP/WTA professionals and NCAA Division I student-athletes.

The ideal candidate brings elite playing credentials, proven coaching experience across both junior and high-performance levels, and the leadership presence to inspire athletes, families, and staff alike. You will oversee all Academy programming — from junior development to elite collegiate pathways — while embodying the values that define our culture: Driven by Family. Defined by Champions.

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership

Design, implement, and continuously improve the Academy’s curriculum across all age and performance tiers
Establish clear player development benchmarks and performance tracking systems
Oversee tournament scheduling, team competitions, and player match preparation
Lead the Elite Academy program targeting D1 collegiate and professional pathways

Staff Management

Recruit, hire, onboard, and evaluate coaching staff in coordination with ownership
Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews
Set and enforce coaching standards, communication protocols, and professional conduct expectations
Develop a cohesive staff culture aligned with the Academy’s brand and values

Player & Family Relations

Serve as primary point of contact for Academy families on player development matters
Conduct regular individual player reviews and progress meetings with families
Manage college recruitment support and communication with university programs
Cultivate a family-first culture consistent with the club’s identity

Institutional & External Relations

Represent the Academy at USTA Texas, ITF, and AESA events and meetings
Develop relationships with international junior programs for recruitment and exchange
Support ownership with grant applications, facility development, and strategic planning
Collaborate with the Club Director on membership, scheduling, and facility use

Qualifications
Required

Minimum 5 years of progressive tennis coaching experience, including at the competitive junior or collegiate level
USPTA, PTR, or ITF/GPTCA professional certification
Demonstrated experience developing players who have competed at USTA national, collegiate, or professional levels
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by Academy scheduling

Preferred

Former collegiate or professional playing experience
Experience in a Director or Head Coach capacity at a tennis academy or club
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Familiarity with USTA Texas competitive structures, rankings, and junior pathways
Background in international player recruitment (Latin America or Europe a plus)
